We will hold our first, and perhaps only workday, on Saturday, March 16th. Projects include readying the field for the spring season and taking down fencing at the McQueens (they are donating the fence). We will be installing an additional row of stadium seats sometime this spring as well. "Many hands make light work," so if you can help, we need you. Most Baseball News Found At Mohawk Web Most news and updates are found quickly and easily at the Mohawk baseball web site. The address to check is mohawks.homestead.com. Links will take you to almost anything you need to know about the spring season, including schedules (updated as we get them), game directions, weather and just about anything else a Mohawk fan would need to know. Check in often (you can also rate the site by clicking the links at the bottom of the front page). Baseballs Caseys Convenience stores has again taken on our ball sponsorship for the year. Each baseball carries a Mohawk and Caseys logo. This marks the 7th year for their contribution to Mohawk baseball. Make sure to thank Caseys both in Morrisonville and Kincaid for their help. There is an attractive plaque on display in the Morrisonville Caseys which displays one of the balls and thanks the company for its help. Ag Boys Complete Concrete Work The Ag Construction class, under the direction of Larry Lewis, completed concrete work underneath the visiting side bleachers. Concrete was paid from money received by working the Morrisonville Frog Jump. |

Game Day Tickets Game Day ticket sales should be completed by Friday. Players should have tickets, both sold and unsold, returned, along with their money prior to the Gillespie game. Players have not hit the bingo sites and they remain "prime targets" for quick sales. New Uniforms Have Arrived The Mohawks will be sporting new uniforms this spring (the 1st new sets in 10 years). Money came from Baseball concessions and sports budget from the district. There are 25 new sets which means we'll have a few players in our "classics." :-) Extra Hats Available We will have extra hats available after player distribution. Cost will be $14 for gray or red and will be sold on a first come basis beginning the night of the Gillespie contest. |

Tootie Fleigle has again volunteered to handle the managing of the concession stand for the spring season. The concession stand has been the life blood of the baseball program for the past 11 seasons, providing almost two-thirds of all funding. With our busy schedule, she will be needing assistance in staffing the stand for all home games, including our frosh/soph games. Please let her know if you are willing to help and when you are available. This is essential to maintaining our program for the future: all diamond improvements have come directly from the parental support we have received at the stand. |
